How Your Twitter Account Can Keep Your Knowledge

Recently I shared with you my favorite apps / blogs / portals that I use for continuous learning. When you read some cool blog post, you may want to keep it somewhere. Notebook is not the perfect choice, so I will share with you how I use Twitter for it.

Everything that I need in this matter are Hashtags and Twitter Advanced Search.

Hashtags

Definition: The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.

I made my personal list of hashtags which I will use for different topics that I read. Every time when I read some cool blog post, I share it on Twitter and include suitable hashtags.

Twitter Advanced Search

Advanced search is available when you’re logged in to twitter.com. It allows you to tailor search results to specific date ranges, people and more. This makes it easier to find specific Tweets.

I use specifically these two fields:

  • Tweets with a specific hashtag (for example #WordPress);
  • Tweets from a specific account (Tweeted by “@AtanasovskiP” which is my Twitter account);

And that is all, whenever I need some link, I can find it in my own Twitter Feed.
