Yesterday I was at the CEO Belgrade conference. One of the questions was “Are successful people born or made?” and I asked myself the same question.
Every person, and especially every entrepreneur, should embrace failure with open arms. It is only through failure that we learn. Many of the world’s finest minds have learned this the hard way. – Richard Branson
The thing is, every self-made successful person (successful people in the truest sense of the word are all self-made) has come to the realization that they have the power to direct their own lives; And they let that realization power them through the struggles and challenges that they face on the road to their success. They’ve learned that their lives are not a function of their conditions but rather, a function of their decisions. – Source
A difference between success and failure is all about the limit which you set to yourself. If you are not settling down once when you fail, you will learn something new and find a way to win the next time.
Successful people are those who don’t accept the failure as an option. It doesn’t mean that they have never failed, it means that they haven’t settled down. That is the reason why you can recognize success in children as well, as it is the question of their attitude.
I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. – Michael Jordan
